v6 to ls1 wiring?
v6 to ls1 wiring? i have a 98 firebird that im putting a ls1 in but the wiring harness plug in in the car has 3 plug ins and the ls1 wiring harness has 2. is it just different year models or do i need to do some wiring to get it to work? if so does anyone have a diagram that i need to convert it. ant imput will help thanks.
I bought a 2001 v6 spd camaro and swaped a T/A 98 LS A4 into it. i used to whole harness form the T/A from head light to tailight when i did the swap.
im not sure if you can intergrate harnesses. like your stock chassis harness and a LS engine harness??
THere are three general harness's that are in your car.
Chassis harness
Engine bay harness
Engine Harness
I would assume the same year and same model would swap, assuming you swaped a LS engine & engine bay harness. then i would believe your chassis harness would be fine.

Verdad Gallardo i was told by a guy i know that he thought if i go back to a 98 harness that it would be all plug and play with my harness on the car since its a 98. does anyone know if this is true or will i still have other wiring to do to make it work if so please tell me what and explain if u can.. one other ? is if i go with the 98 harness will i have to use a 98 pcm cause a buddy of mine has hp tuner for a 2000 and i was gone go with a 2000 computer so we could tune it with his.. will it work ive heard stories about 99 up pcm not working with 98 harness but dont know all the details... Thanks
