I like the idea of the T56 but would settle for a strong 5spd if it'd simplify the conversion process somewhat.

If the overall length of the transmission from the mount to the face of the bellhousing is than an LS, the engine will be in a different position.
A better question would be whether they designed the bellhousing to mimic the LS1 setup (people using the ford style transmission in a Chevy) or if it was intended for use in a Ford car. Either way it opens up another option since the ford style transmissions are much more available than the GM style ones.

yes, the quicktime bells are setup for hydraulics..
if you want to use the standard pull cable, you have to drill for the pull cable ball stud.
SOM68SS modified his bellhousing to put the pivot ball on the passenger side for the pull-style clutch fork.
