Default Brembo Calipers off Dodge SRT8????

Is it possible to get these Calipers to bolt onto my 62 impala somehow? If so, how hard will it be, and any recommendations who could do it???

Just asking because i can get all four for a really good deal.

It would probably take some custom brackets to get them mounted. Probably would not be that hard though. I would check out pro-touring.com as this is right up their alley. There is a whole section on brake swaps.

I would PASS on them. If you read the LX forums there having Problems with them and the pistons Corroding. Also you will limit your wheel Choices BIG TIME.

IIRC These are identical to the calipers on the CTS-V? Just GM Had the CTS-V brembo's powdercoated silver w/ the V badging.

Though i remember reading the CTS-V had longer lugs.

If i use the calipers, does that mean i have to use the rotors as well? I just wanted to use the calipers

The calipers are rather large which might require a wheel with adequate caliper to spoke spacing. That might limit the wheels that clear your caliper.

The Srt8 calipers have two equal pistons while the Ctsv are a differential piston caliper. Not dure they are exactly the same thing.

If you can get them at a good deal I dont see why you cant make a good setup with your rotor of choice. The Srt8 uses a 360mm rotor but I imagine anything between 340mm to 360mm should work.

They are larger calipers, and since their a 4 piston, they are far wider then a 2 piston, so it will hit hte spokes of some wheels.

It is possible. I am still working on my swap kit. But I have CTS-v calipers I am retrofitting to my '99 Sonoma. Using stock spindles which are highly modded to clear the calipers. And I used stock hub style rotors. I milled them down to use them as hubs only. Then added longer wheel studs. And found that Z-51 Corrvette rotors are a large enough diameter to fit the caliper and thick as well. I'll tale some pics today and show off my buld later. It will be an awsome brake package.

These guys make the caliper brackets and new billet hub to enable you to use any C5 or C6 Corvette caliper and rotor of your choice. Either buy their complete kit, or do what I'm going to do and buy their hub kit and brackets and then source my own calipers and rotors. MASSIVE brakes for under $1000 at all four corners .

the rotors are designed for that size of rotor. You can usually dip about an 1" smaller in diameter. But nothing over that.
