Linkage problems/solutions for aftermarket shifter? I am having problems getting my B&M shifter linkage to line up with the 4L60E. For one, I have the truck shifter shaft and gear range electronic unit installed on the trans, and that sticks out much further than my last 700r4 did. This causes my shifter linkage to not line up with my tranny pan bolts, but more importantly, do not clear my headers.
Anyone have this problem or know of any solutions for me?

You will need to change the shifter shaft. One out of a 98 to 02 F body is shorter and will work. When ordering one from the dealer ,don,t forget and order a new shift shaft seal and filter.Remove the pan to change the shaft, pretty easy to do.
