Default Converter(un lock) lock up switch question

I just got my 2004 gto harness back from Speartech and in the instructions he says I need a normally CLOSED brake switch(zero volts when brakes are applyed). My old chevy has a held open switch untill brakes are applyed then the switch closes(and the contact/12volts are made). What do you guys use on the auto trans conversions? Please. Thanks Dan

Look at the brake pedal mount and see if there are two places for a switch, such as the brake switch. If not, try to find a brake light switch that has two different sets of contacts. Most likely one set is normally open and the other will probably be normally closed. Look at this switch.

You can also use the brake light switch to trigger a relay. Run your circut through the "normally closed contacts", when the brakes are applied the relay will energize opening the circut.
