Actually this isn't too bad of a time to update on the Vega.
The car has been through some major changes that of course took longer than I expected and I pretty much bit off more than I could chew and still get out in a timely manner this year. It is actually pretty close at the moment to some testing.
Here are some of the changes.
10 point cage certed to 8.50 has been cut out and a new CM 25.5 cage has been put in. The car is now certed for 7.50's
New spool and rear gear. Changed from a 4.56 to a 4.10 as I need more top speed.
Now for the big change.
I am working with Billy Briggs in an attempt to put together the most powerful LS N/A build to date. I am going to run the Milan Mi. All Motor heads up stuff and we aren't leaving anything on the table. It could be running on the dyno in just a few days.
Anyone know what the highest HP NA numbers are to date? If they are around where I think they are, I could be topping them.
AND THEN PUTTING IT IN A VEGA!

8.51@160.74
8.52@158.57
8.53@158.47
8.53@157.13
8.50@158.43
Best ET was 8.50 and best MPH was 160.74 which was the first and only time the car got into the 160's
Pretty good year for a first try in the class.
