Steam pipes fitment issue (LM7 vs. LS1 intake)
I did a search and didn't find anything.
I wasn't able to fit an LS1 intake onto my LM7 without modifying the steam pipes. Looking at the engine, the left/rear pipe fouls the manifold. I ended up bending the pipe a lot, then cutting it and brazing in another section of tube.
Just wondered if this was common?

Had to get the ls1 steam tubes for mine as well. There for sale on here and check around there not expensive and can even be had for 30 bucks new on gm parts direct. IMO; If its worth doing, its worth doing right.....

Brazing an extra section in was no big deal. I have all four outlets connected and working now.
