Hey, billy. Just happened to log on this morning and noticed someone had revived your thread. Really glad to see you making runs with the Mustang.
Trouble is, if North Carolina is anything like it is here in Missouri, you'll be checking out again to go fish'in. LOL. This is one of the better times of the year in Mo. Anyway, I'm glad to see the thread again, and good luck with the Mustang.....or the fish'in.... whichever. Ron

Default Stock Rockers?

Hi Guys,

I noticed a lot of you are running stock block LQ4 6.0's with nice cams at about 600 lift and 240 duration. Are you running stock 6.0 rockers or going to aftermarket roller rockers? My 6.0 engine build book states you cant go over a 555 lift on the cam with stock rockers. But I think guys are going to 600 lift all day long. Can anyone chime in on their cam specs, valve train and rockers? Thanks guys. I have a Lq4 6.0 going into my 1988 5.0 mustang hatch with glide soon! It will be a 1/8th mile drag car.

thanks ron,i hope the next dragstrip visit will be in the 6.30 zone...i think i figured out a balance between fishing and racing...lol...and for the other questions i have stock rocker arms and my cam is alittle over .600 lift and i run the number 6 pill from msd...but i think it would go faster with full timing coming in alittle earlier...thanks billy

how many chips come with the msd box and what are their timing curves? and y not just go with a distributor? it seems like it would be difficult to get the timing right using pre made timing curve chips.

i think it comes with 6. but with the 6010 you can customize the timing any way you want with a computer/ there program.
