Took this pic yesterday on the way home from the track. traction was an issue this time. Only got three passes two were full 1/4 runs but an oil leak shut me down for the day.

Here is the slip from my second run. Not doing any kind of burnout or cleaning the tires off, just pull up and go exactly as i drove it there. 93 octane and about 10lbs max boost. Tried launching at 5lbs and it spun badly.

Oil "leak" i found out was just oil blowing out of the valley cover. Track official came down and found me (thought it was to tell me i was done because of going quicker than 11.5x without a roll bar) and told me i left a little puddle of oil at the starting line and should check out my truck. They were about done for the day anyway so I decided to call it a day.

I realized my one way valve i had put in the valve cover breather was not working and causing boost pressure to go in the valve cover Ordered up a breather tank tonight. Hopefully i can put that on and get back to the track again before the end of the year. I really want a 10.xx slip before winter. On my last run i left with around 4lbs of boost and it had a 1.67 60' time, but was still spinning. Leaving with 2lbs should make it just hook and go and get me my 10.xx

What kind of power can the t-case and front diff handle? Can they take around 750 to the rear wheels through a 4l80e? I'd assume there are upgrades that would have to be made, but any idea on what they'd include?

The transfer cases seem to be really tough. since there isnt much "shock" to the drivetrain using the viscious coupling as opposed to a conventional 4wd transfer case. I have had to replace mine, but that was more due to having 120k miles on it and the chain & viscious were just worn out.

The front diff is an open diff stock, and its only getting 35% of the power. I havent seen or read of many failures. I have been told that there was a cast iron case verison as opposed to the aluminum one, but I dont know if thats true and have never heard of a syty person swapping one in due to exceeding the limits of the stock one.

This link was posted on the syty.net message board today. I didnt know about it but its a very cool little write-up.

That is an awesome build. There is a local guy with a similar setup, minus turbo.. I love it.

Thought I would come back and update this thread. Had the truck out to the local 1/4 mile this past Saturday night. New best of 10.74 @ 125.9 with a 1.54 60'. I put a set of the new Nitto Nt05s (not the drag radial though) on it and it definitely helped it hook a little better.

This was still 93 octane just the way I cruise it around.

LOL that was my Brothers 71 El Camino the first time on slicks and he got out of it early. He managed to get a 12.80 out if it later that night.

Did not mean to dog your brother! Almost 2 sec improvment is awsome.
I have never even been to the track, so i should not judge.
Keep up the great projects.

Great work you did, can you give info on injector size, and fuel setup? How much does that truck weigh?
