sorry. dont know. had my tuner do it. He just changed the numbers until the tach read correctly.

3/3 is LSx to 8 cylinder tach

Whileas I don't know what setting you need, if your tach progresses at a different rate than the V8 cars the numbers won't be the same. It would be split like a 3/5 or something. If not it will be on in the low rpms and off in the high RPMS.

Have you considered a LS1 guage cluster then just leaving it at 3/3? Then you have the higher reading speedometer etc. That's not a sales pitch. . .but I do have one from a car I parted out

Correct me if im wrong but the tach resolution is the hi vs low pulses in the square sine wave. For instance 6/6 is 6 up 6 down per cam pos sensor cycle (1x per cam revolution) where as 3/3 is 3 up 3 down. Decreasing the pulses reduces the frequency of the signal slowing the tach down.

This is my understanding of the system, feel free to call me an idiot and correct me

If i had your cluster i could put it on my wave form generator and figure it out.

lol... i am so confused. Dont want to swap the cluster. Want to keep the orig with the orig miles.

had the car idling today, it was at 916rpm and the gauge read 1400rpm. Anyone ?
