Default AC Compressor spacing

Got the LS6 into the Mercedes and it's starting to seem like this project could be completed, but .... there's another problem I don't understand.

Got the accessories bolted on the front of the motor and they all line up except the AC compressor. It's about 1" behind the rest of them. Does that mean I have a Corvette mounting bracket and need the Firebird/Z28 mounting bracket??

Thanks,
Mike

The Gen III/IV front accessories AC setup doesn't use the main Sperentine belt..it uses a smaller dedicated belt behind the main Sperentine Belt.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Now I understand why there's two belt locations on the harmonic balancer and why there is a belt tensioner on the compressor mounting bracket. The rear belt location on the balancer lines up nicely with the compressor.

Thanks!!
