Weird problem

I have a 5.3/4l60e in an 85 MonteCarlo. It dies almost everytime I come to a stop unless I keep my foot on the gas.

I checked and when it wants to die, volts drop to about 10 and fuel pressure drops to around 52. I get no error codes, and can find no vacuum leaks. This is an ebay wiring harness re-wire job, and I have no wire for the Park/Neutral safety switch. Anyone got any ideas?

I have 2 chassis grounds running off the back of the heads and 1 on the front. I didn't consider that, because it holds a steady 14 volts at idle. How many grounds are you guys running?

I thought it might be my tune, but I logged it the other day and our local tuner said it looked fine.

Volts could be dropping because the engine is stumbling. Hard to say which is causing what.

Does sound like a vac leak. Try plugging PCV, EGR, brake booster, any other hose going to the manifold.

Try some diagnostics on the IAC motor. Maybe it is gummed up or bad.
