Default S10 oilpan problem

Gentlemen,
I have started a s10 LS1 conversion. I was able to get a engine from a 04 GTO. However, the oilpan has the sump and filter on the left front of the engine. This is a red light/no go for a S10 installation. I did see that a web site (S10V8.com) has the correct pan with sump in rear as normal that looks like it will work great. Does anyone know the P/N or better what vehicals came with this type pan for a junkyard search?
Thanks,
Scott

I used a ls2 corvette pan but you will have to step the crossmember. On the plus side though it wont hang down past the crossmember.

the H3 pan hangs down only about a half inch below the cross member if i remember correctly, its about your only option for a pan that fits with zero modification to the cross member.

We used the H3 pan on the ls7 motor we put in our 98 s-10 blazer. That pan fits perfect.

I used the H3 oil pan on my first gen '93 S10 and it worked good. You will also need a windage tray and oil pickup tube

That pan is pretty cool. I wish it was around when I put my brothers truck together. It would have saved me alot of trouble.

the h3 pan is a great option but you will still have to do a minor notch in the crossmember to make trans removal easier....... on the 2 wheel drive blazers it's cake the pan has zero ground clearance issues and sits above the the crossmember surface due to the raised engine mount pads... On my s-10 we used a f body pan and did some major notching of the frame.

When I worked for carshop I built a 2 wheel drive blazer using a h3 pan and it worked great!

I've got a truck pan/tray/oil pickup (no dipstick) for sale that I can't use on my nova build. According to the oil pan sticky, it's only slightly taller than the H3 pan. PM me an offer on it if you're interested.
