Default how to remove connectors

so i am starting my wiring and i was wondering how to remove the connectors i dont need. can i just cut the pig tails off at the main harness and make sure they are protected on the end or do i have to trace them all the way out of the harness?

Cut them off at the connectors protect the ends and be done with it. You can certainly trace them all out and remove them but it isn't necessary as far as function goes.

If you disassemble the red/blue PCM connectors the pin are easly pulled out to make a cleaner harness. Just layout the harness on the engine, connect everything you need or want, unwrap the harness, then just trace it back to the PCM, remove the wire and connectors, then rewrap and put back the PCM connectors. Its a snap !

There are just some tabs on the side of the PCM connectors to unclip the plastic retainer and I think that the bolt will let the connectors come apart.

not to worried about having a super clean harness so think im just gonna cut them back at the main harness. maybe later on when i clean up the engine bay and tuck wired and move the fuse box i will do it then. just want to get it done and going right now.

Is there a tool, for the proper removal of the pins from the computer plugs?

I just used a small flat head screw driver to lift the plastic retainer and push the pins out. Pretty easy.
