Default Need some help....LQ9 into a G-body.

Im looking at selling my LT1 and picking up an 86 Monte Carlo LS roller for dirt cheap and sticking an LQ9 in there with a healthy cam/milled 317's. What major obstacles will I run into if I go through with the project? I looked at John B.'s LS1/T56 website and saw the problems with motor mounts and retaining the ac components.

Im planning on ditching the ac and most of the interior. One of the things Im not sure on is what tranny to use. Id like to retain the drivability of a 4L60E but don't really want to do spend a lot. Here's what Im planning on:

LQ9 w/ milled 317's and a big cam
TH400 or 700R4/4L60E with a 4K + RPM stall
4.10's with 26" stickies and 28" street tires
The car is colum shifted, might go with a floor shifter in the future.

I can obtain an engine w/wiring for around $1500 and then a tranny for under $700 if I go with an older non-electronic unit. Im worried about the fuel system and gauges since the stockers are mechanical I assume.

Most of the LS cars had the Throttle Body injected 4.3L. If it does you already have the right fuel tank and lines, just have to install a higher flow fuel pump.
