There is this clean little 1990 Ford Ranger for sale , I need a truck to carry crap now and then and the price is right . I am seriously thinking of purchasing it .
The truck is stock right now with the 2.3L 4 banger / A4LD automatic. Runs and drives excellent . It's a short bed / single cab model with very few body dent's , mostly lower and I could fix them . Curb weight is listed for this model at 2,820lbs , 1,600lb payload capacity .
I did a little searching and found the 1990 year model was the year Ford started putting the 8.8 rearend under them so that is a plus .
My goal with this truck would be just to have a truck in the fleet and I probably wont buy it unless a LSX engine / 4L60e will fit in it . I figure that would add some pulling power to it , make it more reliable etc. Whats your thoughts ?
