Default Starter and alternator wiring

Would it be ok to run the alternator wire back to the distribution block that feeds the under dash fuse block and feeds the power to the relays or does it need to go all the way back to the battery in the trunk which seems to be a waist of wire. So heres is what i was thinking battery in trunk 4ga. to distribution under dash one 10ga. leed to fuse block, one 8ga. leed to starter, and one 8ga. leed to alternator going through a seperate fuse block for it. does that sound good?

I would run it back to the battery

- Alternator spikes in volts could cause problems.
- RF noise and interferance from the alternator could cause problem with other electrical compones (PCM, gagues, radio, etc)
- could get electrical run on after the ign is turned off due to the alternator still spinning.
- battery voltage to the compones would be more stable voltage.

the battery in the electrical system acts as a buffer between your alternator and all your dc systems. its definitely a good idea to run it all the way to the battery.
