is it normal(ls2)
I have a GM TechII tester. But I have read somewhere that the ECU that GM delivers with those controller kits are locked and unable to retune?
But thanks. That cleared things up a bit. Had a hard time believing it was normal.
But what am i to do now then?
19166568 for the kit.
Controller only is P/N

There were paperwork with the kit as how to install it in any vehicle. But the manual is somewhat lacking info, and not helpfull in a few critical areas.
It could just need to be tuned. Does the car have an IAC in the throttle body? I am really not familiar was DBW setups but even less familiar with that controller kit you have, ive actually never heard of it.

But the controller system doesn't have a pcm. Only an ECU. When i hooked up the 4l65e i then again needed a second controller kit since it wasn't a pcm. So bought a second controller unit. This time a transmission controller unit. Spliced the ECU and TCU together and runs fine.. It just revs very slowly on its way down.. Like 3 or 4 seconds from 5/6k rpm.
It's not the carpet either.. Wish is was though.
My flywheel is a standard 4l65e flywheel as well as the converter.
Thanks for the help so far
