Default Fuel Connections

I need to connect to the fuel rail on a 2000 camaro LS1. I have a stock camaro pump, and will be using the corvette filter/regulator setup. What do I need to connect the fuel rail to hard line, or even rubber tubing? Are there adapters for the quick disconnects?

I think it already has the quick disconnects. Just press them on. Are you useing the hardlines that were already on the vehicle? You need to make sure the hard line is the same size as the rubber line.

Do the hard lines have an o-ring to assist in sealing to the quick disconnects? I haven't fired up my pump yet so I can't verify leakage but I'm concerned the connection seems a bit loose.

No o-ring on the hardline, i will wiggle mine around to see if they are suppose to have any play. I think they move up and down some but not really side to side. And its not really a quick disconnect. I dont know what i was thinking. You are still be able to just push them on but you need a fuel line disconnector to get them off. Like $4 from advance. If it comes off with out the tool then it is not connected.

I want to connect the fuel rail to the filter/regulator. I have part of the original plastic hardline that is still on the camaro fuel rail. I would like to use a steel hardline, but I have no idea how to connect the line to the camaro fuel rail.

I took a pipe cuter and chopped off the quick disconnect flare from the rail. That left a clean 3/8 tube. Then I picked up a stainless 3/8 swageloc elbow, tightened it up and away I went. No leaks, no orings to degrade and the stainless can be polished.

Default fuel adapters from Russell

I used the Russell hard line to -6 adapters at the fuel rail and after my filter/reg.

So that means that the adapter fits right up to the Fuel Rail? I would like to use AN hoses, but I think My dad wants to go with the hard line. I will let him know. Thanks for the replys

You can still use hard line. This just gives you a AN -6 female thread which clamps onto the fuel rail. From there you can bring your hard line with a male hard line adapter right to it. I suggest using a small amount of braided line at the end of your hard line, as the motor can rock under acceleration.

Cool deal, thanks guys, now I just have to get my dad moving on this project. I get that braided line suggestion. I will pass on the datails.
