A-body swappers unite! gimme the old yay or nay...
So... oil pan + headers + engine mounts = pain in the ***.
We all know that. I'm gettin ready to do my first swap-- a LQ4 into a 68 El Camino. From what I've read, my current plan is to run:
- CTS-V pan
- Hooker headers n mounts.
I know the LH8 pans are popular, but i havent found anyone who used one with the hooker mounts n headers, plus they hang kinda low.
Any feedback would be helpful, even if its just a 'yay' or 'nay' vote .
If it affects anyones opinions, i'll be running a 4L80E.
Lastly, I dunno where to look for the oil pan. Any ideas?
Thanx guys

Im using the new brp mounts w/ my lq4 /4l80e combo. With the edelbrock headers. I also have the lh8 pan. I didn't need to move the ac to fit the frame or the steering box. Pan does hang a little low, I welded a deflector plate under my crossmember b4 powder coating the frame...The BRP kit made the install real easy on mine...
