They use the same size relay you have in your pic except it uses the 280 type connectors like GM uses.
Here is a pic of one in my 97 240SX.
I did some more data logging this morning. The commanded injection amount is better now, about 3 msec at idle, so that's good. The bad is that I do not have any IAC feedback, the car will not hold any kind of idle without throttle input, the PCM thinks it's in D4 while the transmission is in neutral (maybe this is normal for a MT), and there is no A/F feedback except for at start. Also, the manifold pressure is around 50kPa (ambient pressure is being measured at an impossible 103kPa). The manifold pressure might be reasonable because I am giving it 11-16% pedal. Can anyone make sense of all of this?
My thought is that there is something wrong with the wiring, but I am not sure where to start. Also, the only DTC's are for milcode lamp (I don't have one), and for cooling fan (not wired).

pushrod, have you done some digging in the pcm/tuning section? i'm sure there's guys over there that would be able to help. that would save you a ton vs. scrapping your (how many hour?) home-built harness for the Speartech.

check back when you're making 500 streetable WHP, n/a. ****, toss a cam in an LQ4 and you're around that. Bolt on a set of untouched L92s, and you're close to 100 ponies more. Second this car is a PONTIAC and hasnt been produced in decades Obama and General Motors no longer make them. so why you chose this thread is beyond me.
Third lets talk about ford the new 5.0 makes 1 pony less than the LS3. playing catch up lol.
fourth have you seen the spark plugs break off in the 3 valve 5.4? have you seen the 3 special tools to remove broken plugs. or that the body has to be removed from the chassis to pull the heads? its nice tho when they need their plugs changed it automatically spits them out.
fifth the exhaust manifold studs and nuts rust and brake off in the aluminum heads have you ever tried to drill and dremel and die grind those studs out?
sixth what about the cam phaser problems on the 5.4 even when using the only recommended oil that wont void the warrenty. the new 5.0 has 4 cam phasers instead of two.
i hope that doesnt' mean twice the problems.
Allow me to set another misguided soul straight. The LS1 is not good because of fantastic specific output, and neither is the ford for that matter. If I wanted that I would be going with a ferrari 458, 355, or a honda engine. I like the LS1 because it is cheap (as far as modern stuff goes), and because it packages nicely. Also, the availability of 6-speed manual transmissions that bolt right up (read can be purchased with the engine fixed to it) is pretty great. Bottom line: both engines are far from engineering marvels.
Oh, and if you think I hate on fords check out my uncle's shop. I help him a lot, and the cars are great.
Finally, if just going as fast as possible is the goal I would argue that neither of these engines are a fantastic solution. Go buy a liter bike and be done with it.
Yo, Earl Flitter....would you like to see my photos of my 57 Chevy convertible with a Ford 351W engine. I love the reactions of people when they I open the hood at show them this combination.
