I bought a complete harness and PCM from an '05 Silverado (5.3) I have and iron block 5.3 (LM7) and an aluminum 5.7(LS1). I'm using the 5.3 for mock up in my street rod.

My questions are:

What crank/reluctor setup do I need to use with this harness?

Are the sensors in the same location until you go to a GEN IV harness/motor?

2005 5.3 is still a Gen III motor right?

Yes all the Sensors are in the same location as any other Gen III Engine.. your Reluctor more than likely is a 58X.

 

Is the 58X reluctor the one I'd need to use?

Will the crank in the 5.7 and 5.3 have the same reluctor?
