Control of fuel pressure by PCM If I'm using the '97 vette fuel rail with the stock fuel pressure regulator, can I still retain the function in the PCM that automatically increases fuel pressure? It seems like the extra fuel would just be sent back to the tank via the return line.

Nothing in the PCM ever increases the fuel pressure. I'm not sure what you're thinking of.

Thats what a fuel regulator does. The 98 and up have intank regulators that just dump it there, the 97 has to have a return line to dump to.

I guess I misunderstood. I thought that the computer could vary the voltage to the pump and change the pump's output (like when you hit it with a dry nitrous shot). I guess I'm thinking of something else. Good to know I don't have to worry about it. On a side note, does anybody know how to hold the fuel pressure regulator onto the vette fuel rails. I assume there must be something, but I don't have it.
