iam a little lost on how the serial data wire works. do you just tie the rpm and water temp to the grey serial data wire, lost with the water temp gauge also because theres not a wire for it i dont think. Also i do have a 3 wire coolant sensor with a pig tail off it for the gauge

The Serial Data wire sends digital info to the guages, ... It carries multiple signals... You cannot "tap into" the Serial Data wire from say a ECT sending unit and expect the guage to work. If your guages are looking to a different pin for the ECT, then you can run a wire from the sending unit (sensor) to the gauge cluster.

ok guys i have power and all just need the rpm gauge to work, this is through the data wire right, if so how do i hook it up, can it just be spiced in at the wire on the pcm[ i can cut the data wire right ]

just got my tags today and iam fired up

The Tach Wire is a white wire..it's not in the SD wire.

you know what wire it is, everyone keeps telling me the rpm gauge is in the data wire

Not at the moment..my All Data isn't working..

All you need is a pin-out for a 2000 Camaro Cluster Connector.
