So, ive been trying to come up with a list of things that are wrong with the chassis i bought, as well as the good. This is what ive come up with so far...
Drivers fender damaged
Drivers door damaged
Hatch panel has some blemishing
Passenger rear quarter has blemishing/damage
Nose panel has some rust at the bottom of the drivers kidney
Drivers side marker missing
Mouldings are DIY out of wood planks
Most all the window seals are dry-rotted
Wiper blade/squirters are reversed for the hatch and front windshields
Fogs are filled with water
Exhaust is OEM, muffler cut off
Bent drivers strut
VERY bad front end alignment that was aligned after the bent strut apparently
Looks like an m42 instead of an m44, possible reasoning for tranny issues
AFM that cant be plugged in for some reason and non-matching airbox
Hard shifting automatic transmission
Brake light sensor
Automatic tranny light
Check engine light
Airbag light
Both windows off track
No rear parcel shelf
Tear in drivers seat
Screws in both front door panels, door sills, and center consoling
Spinning Ignition cylinder
Hvac paneling and buttons pop out but still work, for the most part
A/c works but not cold
Weak hatch shocks
No spare
Some blown speakers
Worn outer tie rods
Sagging headliner
3rd brake light wont work
Id say thats about it so far for the bad.
Good:
Engine is strong, good for resale
Chassis seems to be straight
Rear suspension still straight
All brake lines, hoses, wires intact from the rear
Still has the tool kit
Full mtech kit minus the mouldings, in decent condition
Newer tires
Working sunroof
Black in color (what i want)
Carpet in decent condition
Floor mats
Almost completely rust free underneath with very little damages
Front subframe already tapped and serted for X-brace
Most all lighting works
Cooling system was maintained
Decently clean overall, but is definitely still a wannabe beater
Hopefully, now in my hands, i can fix everything up on it in time for bimmerfest 2010. Shouldnt be too hard.

I've gotta give ya props on a gutsy project, I'm looking forward to seeing this one done. (Not to mention that it's gonna be an utter KICK IN THE A$$ to drive!!)
(One minor quibble though - the "low light" pictures just aren't working so well.)
But like I said, it's a sweet project...

Maybe I missed it.... why are you not putting the LSx into the red car?
I see the green car got rearended.
I like the black car - but its a ***** to keep clean, and rockchips show up like no other.
