I got a huge crescent wrench, tapped it pretty hard while on the nut and it will come right off, not as difficult as one thinks!

i use a flat end steel rod and a hammer, give one good hit to the edge of the bolt and it breaks loose. or a reaaly big set of vise grips, if its on there too tight the big crescent wrench can round off the edges of bolt. if not done correctly

I used a vise grip that has a chain that goes from jaw to jaw around the pulley and a big cresent on the fan. No hitting required. Just dont muck up the pulley.

Any word on this? Is the pulley press-fit onto the waterpump?

you will want to make sure but I think they are press fit, but there was a few that came out that were not but I still think the fan nut does not hold anything on the WP but the fan. it along for the ride.
