Default '00 S10 4.8 Dyno Results

Ok here it is:

Stock 4.8 w/Sanderson shorties, 2.5" y-pipe to 3" cat and pipe through a Dynamax muffler. Built 4L60E and built rear w/3.42 and eaton posi.

97* out and no humidity.

Dynoed on a Dynomax loaded dyno (similar to mustang dyno).

Numbers are:

Tuned by Ryne at CMS in Lake Elsinore.

A/F ratio:

I personally think it's not that bad for the smallest genIII LS motor and 140*+ IAT's (nothing I can do about the IAT's either).

So lets hear what everyone else thinks!

Motor is from a '03 Silverado

I will be looking into '03 ZO6/243 heads, cam and springs.

Already freakin bored with the power level and it hasn't been a week!!

The advantage in being bored with these motors you add some boost and the affair continues to grow....MP-70 would put a smile on

I'd go with something a little bigger on the cam. Your best bet would be a nice turbo setup, then maybe I could see the LS6 cam.

Nah, I want to keep it fairly mild as it's my DD work truck, the big power parts will be used on my C5

I know other cams will pass smog also, but you cant beat LS6 cam and springs!

The 243 heads that came off the Vettes had lightweight valves also...but the ones from the GTOs did not....

I've always thought about a 4.8 swap in something cause of the rev potential from the short stroke.
