It won't be the first, but I'm getting prepared for a 5.3L LC9 swap with a 6L80 auto trans. The vehicle is my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
There is a shop in Las Vegas that has figured out how to interface the LS engine into the Jeep electronics, so all the gauges and Jeep features work as stock. It will even have "tap-shift".
Engine and tranny are on-order now. Jeep will be dropped off on the 31st of May. I'll start a thread with pics once production is in full-tilt
It'll be kinda weird.... as it's the first project where I'm outsourcing and don't perform the wrenching myself.......

I think this will be my next project. Going to try and find a wrecked C5 or C6 Zo6 as a donor for everything but the body panels. Weld up a frame and put R34 body panels on. When that's done I think a rear mounted twin turbo setup would be cool. Instead of an RB26DETT it would be a RB62DETT lol

Does anyone know the spec's of the Twin turbo LS1 R34 that's been around for years? I see the car everywhere on the internet, but nothing about engine size, turbo's used or power numbers.
