With a custom wire, you might be able to sneak them around the manifold.

2. which manifolds are those? Those are both truck manifolds. I have pictures of flipped CTS-V manifolds as well. They fit better and would allow for better turbo placement, but the plug wires still interfered. If you want the pics, send me an email and I will send them over to you. I might even have some pics of LS2 Corvette manifolds as well.

3. does the manifold bolt upside down with no modifications? Yes, they bolt up just fine with no mods.

thanks for the reply. this is great info to know.

Personally I havent seen many valve covers for LSx that I liked enough to pay the $ for and have the expense of coil relocation. the C5r covers are nice but I'm not spending 3-4 or even $500 for valve covers. someone needs to make some retro vette finned like 69-75 style, that would look nice!they could be raised up and some plug covers over the center bolts- dang now were talking alot of money again-nevermind

LS1MCSS - thanks for the link but not really what i was thinking
this is what I was thinking

The brackets look great and stong. My concern was actually cracking the coil housing. 2 coils supported by only one 1/4-20 bolt 3" long seems like it would move around. Coils arent exactly light either. Just my thoughts. doesn't mean I'm right.

this was listed at his website. They look like coils from an LS3 but I could be wrong.

pm'd him for more info, he said "The coils pictured are the LS2 Coils...
LS2 LS3 LS7 LS9 coils are the same and they work with my relocation brackets."
He also mentioned lots of Ls1 people switch to the LS2 coils for more power, I'll have to look into this when I move my coils.

I kept mine on the valve covers. Truck coils modded for use with f-body wires (to clear my old custom turbo headers).

I think there are people that put these LS engines in older car and want the look of the valve cover.

I really like those relocation brackets, I wonder if they would work with the truck coils?

They are nice but who has their motor far enough forward for those to fit on the back of the head?

Most people don't realize how much room they have behind the heads.

FYI, Summit brand LT1 custom wire set is $40. Cut to fit, plugs in to the LS1 coils, red only, but saves some $$$
