Got a few other parts on the way, going to be doing the suspension tomorrow with any luck, bolting in the motor mounts for good, and then I should be able to see if i can bolt up the transmission easily or if I'll have to drop the mounts. Time will tell. Just waiting for parts. Finishing the megasquirt tomorrow (pinning the spark outputs, configuring the software). Only thing I cant do it put the cam sensor circuit in there, waiting on an opto isolator. I got the turbo (thanks modular turbo!!), master power t70, no shaft play, looks great. I can't wait to get thing on the truck!

Enjoy!

Megasquirt modded and complete, ready to wire into the car. (waiting on a weatherpack crimper and pin/gasket kit to wire). Front suspension should be done today, if I pick up my hoist I'll mod the engine mounts, find the clutch and flywheel, and get everything buttoned up.

Been a long couple of months. Just moved into a new place, and a new warehouse, getting the tools all ready, got my 220 in the other day. Project should be getting underway soon, I'll get some more pics as the progress ramps up. Can't find my clutch and flywheel so I may put an automatic in. Things will start soon =) Need more sawzall blades.

Yes, keep us posted. These projects start out full steam and sometimes come to a crawl for lots of reasons. Hang in there man, I know what your going through. Let us know how the mounts turn out. What was the GM p/n for the LH8 pan, pickup, and windage tray?

I"ll find the pan PN, ended up cutting the crossmember. Since government motors took over the part has been on semi eternal backorder. I ended up just cutting the crossmember. Been working on the a4 swap and a 402 flat black twin turbo c6 vette lately. Been sucking up my time, but the truck should be done soon. I have the 4x2 .120 wall for the back half and chassis mods, its going to get mildly extensive lol. Shortened the 8.8 rear 20 inches (yes, 20 inches- 05+ mustangs are REALLY wide). Need to measure the width for the control arm brackets, got a plasma cutter, have some metal to make some brackets. Things are getting good, but this vette has been fighting me!

Theres a rossler TH400 sitting in the shop that will find its way into the truck. Transbrake baby!

Sweet, keep it up, give us some more pic's when you can. I think I'll mod the cradle/x-member for the truck pan too, just don't want it hanging down below the frame. Gl man.

Nope, its not bad. I just needed to notch the crossmember a good bit. I guess its not a lot of notching but it is pretty rigid metal right there! Come to thing of it I need to box it up this week. More soon!

Well it's been quite a while, but I'm ready to let the cat out of the bag. The truck has gone through a transformation in the past few months. Before, the plan was to make 600whp on a junkyard 5.3 with a Rossler TH400. I've since scooped an 82mm FMW Borg from Reed @ Work Turbochargers (great guy), and targeted my build a bit more. As you can see the backend has gotten very serious. We're targeting 1100-1200whp with air conditioning (It's hot in Florida and I don't have a tow rig, and we have e85, so why not?) This thread should progress slightly quicker, though I'm in no rush to finish the truck. Proper work takes time.

FYI that's a 325/50/15. Gonna need a bigger tire

2000hp Water to air, tank, rule pump. (BIG thanks to Robert @ Chisled Performance. Got my IC and tank done on SUPER short notice, no extra charge, super nice guy) It fits in the back of a Fiat 500C Abarth (My car of the week). Truck is (slowly) coming along. Pinto rack too, pics to come.
