Wow! It turned out great! That wiring looks really nice. Mine is not that nice (yet). Haha

65Xrwhp is some big power for a car that light. Take it easy at Qualcomm if you make it there this week. They don't prep the big end of the track at all (pretty much just the first 60-80ft have any VHT).

Motor is a straight from the junk yard 03 lm7 mi unknown. Has a regrind cam on a 05 lm7 core 114 lsa 540 lift with 1.7 rockers 232 duration. Stock heads, stock head bolts, stock gaskets, stock rod bolts. Heads never got pulled. Just slid the cam in got the right length push rods (trick flow) and installed a patriot gold spring package and a set of china roller rockers 1.75ratio to try and get a little more lift (.560") outta my regrind cam...

Got 8 passes in tonight at qualcom. All in all went very well all I really did for tuning was lowering the tire pressure. Ended up at around 8.5-9 psi best pass of the night was 6.39@109mph 1.48 60' the boost was at 13psi all night never messed with it. Was a blast.... going to barona drag strip tomorrow..

Summit brand control arms and yes upr sway bar / comp shocks. Stock 4banger springs with 3/4 of a coil cut to get the ride height right.

How much boost were you leaving with? Great numbers especially for a first outing. With the power you are making you should be able to get it to go quit a bit faster. Keep us updated. I think I am going to have to get rid of my 302 sooner than later.

Sweet! I predict you will run 6.1ish just from the change in track. The elevation is much worse at Barona, but the track is much better.

1.48 60ft is crazy for Qualcomm. I bet you were the fastest car down there? Or maybe second fastest if Jim was down there in the GT350 on the bottle?

It was leaving at full boost (13psi) which makes around 625rwhp. Yes Jim was there but was running 6.60's so yes I was the fastest car down there.

What did you think of the 'track' with your car running that fast? Scary? Enough shut down?

I've always enjoyed the ease of racing there, but I've also had a ton of sketchy incidents there due to it being a parking lot.

Seemed to be enough shut down for 109 MPH. Wouldn't want to go much faster there on the big end. They kick you out at 115 I believe. Traction was not the best. But I was very pleased with it being the first outing. My main goal was to not paint the k rail blue. The first two passes were a little harry slicks were brand new and air'd up to high. After i got in to 2nd and it started to go sideways so i had to shut her down early. We will see how it goes t
oday. Ill post pic/vids asap.
