Home made tight clearance AC bracket / tensioner
I have very, very little room for the AC compressor so any off the shelf system wouldn't work.
The main bracket uses the lower (2) holes, everything is 1/2" stock. The compressor sits less than an inch from the bolt bosses.
The upper bracket's job is primarily to keep it from rotating. It's made of 1/4" round stock and is triangulated. It bolts to the upper mounts but I cut off the cast iron goiter that was between the bolt holes.
The tensioner is adjusted by turning the threaded rod that moves the tensioner up / down. Then you tighten the pulley bolt which sandwiches the flat parallel plates to lock it all in place.
And here's the chassis as it comes together.
