I would imagine the cooler the better. I just cant decide if I should go with an adjustable temp controler where you can set whatever temp you want them to come on and off. Or If I should just get a preset plug that goes in the head.

I believe you need to set the ON temp as well as the OFF temp for each fan. I've seen a post where there were some recommended temps; just can't remember where.

I have my first fan on a 185 off at 180. Second fan on at 205 off at 200. Had my swap done for almost a year now and the second fan has never came on. With the first fan on it never gets past 190, even in 100+ weather and stop and go traffic. Will see once it hits a road racing event.

I will be running both fans at once. I have a low speed and a high speed. But both run on low and both run on high just different speeds. I was just going to run it on high when I set it. I am just wondering what a good on/off fan temp would be for a carbed 6.0.

I have a Carbed 6.0. I wired both fans to come on with the key on ,in the winter I unplug one fan so just one runs. Never had a prob. its been this way for 3 years. The stat is stock fbody, I figured I would let it regulate the temp and not the fans. Easy to wire and no sensors to malfunction.

Why do you want both running? One should be more than enough for average days.

I've Got The Dual LS1 Efans Wired To Stay On With The Key On With The SLP 160* Stat. I Run At 192* In The Middle Of The Summer, With The A/C On Full Blast While Sitting In Traffic And Thats After Pulling Air Through The Intercooler. Even When Towing A 20' Trailers With 5000LBS I've Never Seen Over 205*.
