They are supported. Someone sent me a PM regarding my pedal assembly and this was the only photo I had. The photos above were initial install pics. I fabed a firewall mounting plate and a internal brace tying the two pedal assemblies together that bolts under the dash.

A few updated pics. All of the holes in the frame are now welded in. I mounted the NASCAR rear trailing arms. Next I will box the frame, install the fuel tank with in tank Walbro pump, fuel lines and exhaust. I hope to fire the lq4 in a few weeks.

love the project. I had the same plan. looked and looked for a truck trying to find a running driving truck to do the transplant then work on the rest over time. Realized everything was either junk or too high and I wasn't gonna be happy with anything but starting from scratch and doing it my way so the project is postponed. I just dont have a good place to do the work right now. So i'm gonna sell some of the parts I had gathered for my engine build.

Thanks for the comment. I hope to get back on the project and post some updated photos in a few weeks. I have been traveling this summer and I purchased a new toy that has kept my weekends occupied. What parts do you have for sale? I may be interested in your parts. Shoot me a PM.

I finished boxing in the frame this weekend and finished with POR15 and a top coat of black epoxy paint. It turned out better that I thought it would. I hope to have the fuel tank mounted this weekend and start plumbing the fuel lines. The frame is flipped, upside down in these pics. I also attached a photo of the under side of the cab. I hope to have the lq4 fired in the next three weeks.

I finished the fuel tank install and got everything painted. I cleaned the engine and got it back in the frame. The fuel line frame tabs should be here today so I hope to have the fuel lines ran and connected by the weekend. I sent the ECU off for a custom tune. Getting closer to starting the engine.

Getting a little closer to starting the engine. The headers should be back next week from Nitro Plate. Then I need to install the exhaust and weld in the O2 bungs. I still need to send the ECU off for a mail order tune and reflash.

I received the headers back from Nitro Plate and they look awesome. The quality of the coating inside and out is amazing. I will get some pics when I get them installed. I decided to go with stainless studs and stover nuts to lock the headers down. To give you an idea of how much I saved over ARP. The ARP stainless header stud kit was around $100. I went to the local fastener supply house, picked up some stainless M8 studs and stover nuts; total cost $12. Now I can start building my exhause.

I installed the headers and noticed some of the plug wire boots are on the header tubes or very close to touching. I had not planned on purchasing plug wires but I guess I will. I'm looking at the MSD32829's that allow for the boot to be bent to a 45 degree angle.

I purchased a set of MSD plug wires and that took care of the plug wire to header interference issue. I finished the exhaust layout, installed the PSI wiring harness, and sent the ECU off to be re-flashed. I'm a few steps closer to firing up the engine.
