Default Tach half-off

My Tack is half off.. my Tuner forgot to adjust for that in the tune. I can't get ahold of him so it looks like I'll have to fix it myself.

I know the wire that controls it, does anyone know if Radio Shack sells something to double a Signal/Frequency?

Basically what I want to do is put something inline and fix it till I can get it properly fixed.

Look for a pulse generator or a tach signal generator.

They can be found on ebay, Two companies that make them are Dakota Digital and Baker Electronics. I'm sure there are others.

I used the one from Baker Electronics for my L33 911. It reports the (nearly) exact same numbers as my MSD box.

Factory Tach..stock Factory Gauges. They are exactly half off. I'm not really worried about it, everything else is fine. My Shift Light can be set as low as 3k, so that's 6k on the Engine at the current moment with where I have it wired into.

Worse comes to worse I can manage, it would be nice to have it correct though.

most simple way to fix this is to have pcm programmed for 8 cyl tach signal.

I found a circuit a while back for doubling a 4000 vss pulse, for a jaguar with a 93 LT1, needing a 8000 pulse/mile speed signal. I'll see if I can dig it up. Its fairly simple with a few logic gates and resistors.
