fair enough i guess. I personally would've kept the LT1, especially since the power level isn't some outrageous number. But, as long as you are happy, then thats what matters, and i'm sure you will be.

And OMG this thread is pic intense lol

well i really didn't have to mod much to get the ls1 in. i had to trim a few parts here and there but thats about it. i used the same mount kit from the lt1 all of it including the drive shaft. same radiator, even the same intake. only thing that changed was the headers. and the exhaust just need to be bent about 30 degrees and have the flanges welded on to them. thats all. I love the power of it already and it so much better then my lt1 was, and more important NO MORE OPTI SPARK!!!

Nice swap, congrats!

Are / were those Ford headers? They are pinched at the flange like 5.0 headers and I saw you welding new flanges on them.

lol the secert is out shhhh....lol yes they are bbk 5.0 headers i cut the flanges off and welded on ls1 flanges works perfectly!!

I had been told that but couldn't confirm it at the time of my swap. It didn't end up mattering since I wasn't able to find the right headers for my car at the right price anyway. Now that I've seen it done I am more inclined to buy a cheap set and cut away!

well, i wish i had of known that, i would've went with an LS1 or similar engine. Oh well, i've almost got all my LT1 stuff acumulated and stuffed in my 300zx.

who said they where cheap?? i paid 300 bucks from summit for them because everyone on ebay was selling them for 275 so i just got a new set!! but hey i still didn't really pay for it all came out of my lt1 setup sale!

i had a friend make me these to help me out because i couldn't get it to line up the way i wanted

I just started a 6 liter swap in my s10. I'm amazed at how much cheaper it is to make power with an ls based engine,

Hey man my motor mounts look the same, cracked. I was thinking of going solid. Did you get your replacements from grannys?
