Default NEW GUY 91 mustang lx 6.0 LQ4 have a few questions

hey, just picked up my LQ4 tonight swaping a chevy into a mustang has been something i wanted to do since i got the car ..it had a 331 stroker went ok , but i've always been a chevy guy ..

motors going to be carbed with a victor jr intake , and stock lower end

few questions ,,
1) what heads should i get ? 243's ? and whats the cost ?
2) and cam selection .thinking maybe 240 dur .600 lift ?

the 243s and a cam around that size would go real nice, i know 2 camaros with that setup both dancing around 400whp, and i know another that has a little bit bigger of a cam but the 853 heads and he made 410whp...i think your setup idea is your best bet

243's or 799's work great....and check out tick performance(they are a sponsor on here)they have a cam called the polluter that sounds like its what you're looking for....make sure you tell who ever you decide to get a cam from that youre running a carb setup so they will know to put it on a different lobe seperation....mine is on a 110

my car has a AJE k-member , just need to switch to a chevy mount and for a harness it's going to be a carb'd motor so not much of a harness just alt wires , and going make my own tranny crossmember .

lookin good. that combo should put down an amazing power to wieght ratio. did you look into the l92 heads?

yes i did , cc of head was to big to build comp , and rockers are different , so went with the 243 ls6 head , plus i got a real good deal on the victor jr .
