oil filters i have been using the NAPA #1042 filter, but wanted a bigger one, somehow came across a NAPA #1522, which was longer (using a caddy CTS pan)
it had the same flow rating, oil pres seems the same
curious what you guys were using for a little more vol filters

Frams have had a bad rep for lowering oil pressure, on a procharged gen 1 i had years ago, i experienced low idle oil pressure, and was using a Fram
filter-i switched to a K&N oil filter, gained almost 10 lbs at idle, not sure why
i never went back to a Fram-some guys have been fine with them, others have had problems, some report from heresay
i only go on my experience, mostly use NAPA as they work fine for me
i always change oil/filter after about 100 miles on a new engine, the filter traps all kind of crap from a new engine, and you dont want it to clog up and bypass

Yep, fram has a very good marketing department.........and nothing else. I always run AC Delco, but if they are not available it becomes .....anything but a fram
