Niiiiiiiice!

That's going to be a fun ride - also curious to see what else you've got planned for the engine. What generation is it - couldn't see the rails clearly enough to tell if it was LLY or LBZ/LMM.

FYI, a stock, de-emissioned LBZ (stock turbo, manifolds, fuel system w/ filter, etc) weighs right at 890 lbs.

Any reason you went with the 4l80 instead of the allison. I didnt think a 4l80 could be built strong enough to handle the torque of a tuned duramax much less a twin turbo.

4L80's are good for 800 ft/lbs stock. With a good converter, a few billet parts and recalibration, no telling! BTW, SW Louisiana is just a few miles down the road from me...

Yea but a duramax with a good tune(around 30psi) makes 1300 RWTQ. I love the build and in no way am I trying to knock it, I just dont see the 4l80 surviving very long.

I'd imagine that the nova wagon being SOOOO much lighter than a 3/4 ton + truck the 4l80 would hold up to bit more than 800 ft/lbs...
BTW, whats your estimated top end?!?!?!? 300mph? and 40 mpg?
Can't wait to see the final product.
Love to see this done to a chevelle wagon also.
Luck to ya man.

BTW, to bad GM scapped the 4.5 liter turbo diesel, I wanted one for my 1/2 ton chevy pick up.

The 80 will be OK for this car...my stock 60s in my '98 Z & my '99 SS went way beyond what a lot of guys said they would.

I can't wait to smoke someone out in this wagon!
