Nothing much to report. I will definitely update progress when we actually get something done. Need to get the shop done first. I am sure there will be some progress over the summer 2011. Father inlaw did pickup a factory drive by wire harness and computer. I will need to help him convert it to a stand alone harness. I need to do one for my 4.8L vortec in my Jeep as well so I still need to find a harness for that. Once I pick a harness for myself I will probably do both engine harnesses at the same time. I will program both my Jeep and his 56' Ford with Hp tuners. Hope to have some more interesting info to post soon.

You can run a dbc throttle on the 8.1 and save yourself the hassle of dbw.

Yes I knew that. That was my preference for him but he did not want to buy a DBW throttlebody. He ended up buying the harness with the pedal, Tac module and whole works together from a friend so it didn't cost him any extra for the pedal stuff. I just hope we can make it fit nice and comfortable in the floorboard. We may have to do a bit of sheetmetal alterations to make it work. I am definitely going drive by cable on my project though. Thanks for thinking about us anyway.
