Default Almost ready 70 chevelle

I am almost ready to start my ls6/t56 swap into my 70 chevelle. I need to round up a few more parts, and clean the garage. Here is what I have so far:
GMPP ls6 with AFR heads lunati cam typhoon intake\
Edelbrock headers with brackets
rebuilt t56
spec flywheel with clutch
GMPP wiring harness/ecm
F-body accessories and brackets

My plans are:
Notch the frame for the oil pan and ac.
Cut the tunnel out and make a new one after the trans is in
Flip the bracket on the crossmember
Everthing else will fall into place (HA HA)

I will post pics asap (probally in a couple of weeks when I begin the swap)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Working on virtually the same swap right now. Good luck and I am going to subscribe to your thread. You might check out Stealth71 and KST8Engineer as they have successful builds on the street.

What mounts and oil pan are you using.. you many not need to Notch for the pan depending on which you use.. If your using the OEM AC compressor, yes you will need to notch there.

Check out the aftermarket pans or the one that BRP/Retrolsx is marketing ($399 right now, can be found on ebay). I got away using a CTS-V pan without notching the x-member for it.

GM Hot Rod pan is a good choice at $150. How does the BRP pan compare dimensionally? Anyone know?

Default oil pan

I may be a bit nieve but I think the GMPP Ls6 comes with the cts-v oil pan. if so than no notching required. When I get started I will see, but I probally will make what ever I have work to save a little $$. The motor mount adapters that I have are from Edelbrock. I figured if I use their headers than I should use their mount plates. I will say the headers look really nice, but I won't celebrate until I see how they fit. When I had my Gen 5 502 the hooker procomps that cost me 600 fit like crap out of the box. I plan to take lots of pics and try to update as much as possible when I get started.

When you post look below and click the link "manage attachments". Then upload the files from you computer. The other way is to load them on photobucket and then paste the link in the message box.
