fbodymotorsports AC relocation brackets

I just bought one of these from a member on another board NIB and had a question:

Does it have to work specifically with the Fbody or Corvette factory LS1 bracketry or does it matter?

I have a 5.3 engine with factory truck brackets and want to know if this will work with these or I need to get a new set of brackets from a F-body LS1

The f-body motorsports kit is set up for an engine with original f-body accessories. The depth won't be correct with vette or truck accessories.

If you're using the truck brackets you might juse be better off using an early 90's S10 4.3 AC bracket and modifing it. If you search there are instructions on doing it. It will also use your stock compressor

Thanks Guys, I may go ahead and search for some Fbody brackets, if not I may re-sell this for what I paid. Then try the 4.6 S10 bracket swap.

I should get it thursday so I'll post my findings when I compare it to my engine, it uses bolts and spacers...I may be able to adjust the depth a bit and go from there.

Yes this F-body kit is going to be about 3/4" shorter than the stock 5.3 truck brackets. Since this post I figured I'm not going to have the hood clearance anyways even with having a cowl hood.

So the search is on for some Fbody LS1 brackets...
