Wiring harness removal - labels? Just a odd question on the wiring harness.
There are alot of electrical connections on the LS1-4L60E harness Im looking at.
Anyone put labels on the connectors to keep things straight for re-installation or does the harness just kind of fall back into place, no labels required?

I haven't done my 5.3 harness yet, but I'm planning on labeling every connection before I re-install....I have a label maker that I bought specifically for these kind of things.

Yep I made my labels out of regular tape and a sharpie. Also labeled the wires that feed the ign switch. Should make for a simple install when you know exactly where everything goes.

What kind of label makers are you guys talking about? I'm planning on using the tape/sharpie method when I get around to my swap. That's how I normally mark wires, bolts, etc. But I haven't done a big swap like this yet.
I've used the tape / Sharpie method with great success for years. Cheap, reliable, simple. 
I found writing on the tape roll first, then tearing it off is easier than making a tag and trying to write on it.
Granted these engine harnesses only fit one way but why waste the time and stress when you don't need to?

Write as small as you can read and use scissors to cut the leftover sticky part off. Wires snag on EVERYTHING and one less sticky thing getting snagged will lead to less swearing in the end. Ive found wrapping wire groups together for each sensor makes the job easier. Also if you lose a label, the grouping helps figure out the unknown wire faster
