Trailblazer - 58x or 24x?
Anyway to tell by just looking at the engine without tearing it apart and counting teeth?
I need to know which it is so I know if I need an E40 or E38 PCM.
Thanks!
So if it's the 58x, can I throw a E38 PCM at it or does it go to the E67 then? Or is that all dependent on if it has VVT or not?
Originally it had the E40 on both 24x and 58x ones. The E38 should work with it if its the 58x,then tune out the VVT if the ECM had it.
The 06 TBSS is a 24X engine with the E40 ECM.
The 07 and up TBSS is a 58x engine with an E67 ECM.
The 58X version can be run with either an E67 or an E38 (if doing an engine swap).
The 24X version runs with the E40 (or an older LS1 PCM if doing a swap).
ALL 2006 TBSS are 24X with E40.
The E40 will not run a 58X engine.
