Default anyone running a carbed L92 setup yet?

Did a search for carbed L92 setups and didn't get any results yet. Debating on what cam to run and looking to see how well these setups do at the strip. It'll be a low mile LQ4 and stock L92 heads. vic jr or gmpp? Anyone running a cam spec'd for a carb and are happy with it?

Check DMMizzell here and there's your answer. There's another member if I'm not mistaken but can't recall his user name. I'm going to run that combo as well with a GMPP single plane but was told to use a tappered spacer as tall as possible to add volume. Maybe the Super Vic doesn't need one. I have a custom cam, but was sworn to secrecy to not divulge the specs. It's a HR from Bret Bauer Racing.

Just remember that the L92 heads in stock form flow a lot in the intake side and not as much on the exhaust and with a carb/ single plane you need a cam with a tight LSA.

I already have a set of L92 heads brand new along with a pullout 6.0L with 55k miles on it that I bought last spring and has been sitting in my garage all year. This was a spare in case something popped up with the carbed ls1 in my camaro. Now I'm planning on selling off the ls1 and tossing this in, wasn't sure on a good carb designed cam spec or who sells the tools to flycut if I run a bigger cam. Local 4th gen shops don't do flycutting it seems.

the convertor is a 10inch ptc unit on the transbreak. with no limiter it goes to 53-5400rpms. on that pass i had the 2-step set at 3500. the gear is a 4.10's . i am running double adjustable uppers and southside lowers. with the pinion angle set at 3.5 degrees. the carb is a old school barry grant silver claw(750) and as far as the timing i run the 6ls2 (6012) box and i was using the("curve 3") timing chip in it.if you got any more questions dont hesitate to ask **** and that pass was made WITHOUT nitrous.

that's a pretty decent sized converter there, sounds like it's moving out rather well.

Just to confirm.
So you have a 5500 stall 10 inch converter on a Brake? and you can drive it back and forth to the Track? Wow... not putting a lot of heat into it? Your 60ft must be amazing... 1.5 maybe? You have video?

I am running the 3 chip in my ls3 right now. I am busting up at 5,000 RPM. My buddy thinks I need to come down on my rear jets?

yeah i was surprised too when i put it on the brake and seen it go that high with the way it drives . the as far as the heat i have the big b&m trans cooler with the fan and is very good. on the highway with the 410's i am cruising around 3000-3200 and im doing about 50-55. so far my 60ft has been 1.47 leaving at 3500 and using a drag radial with 13 pds of air. as far as a video the only one i have is when i first put the car together and it went 11.27 first pass down the track. and with 5year old bfg drag radials. check charlieyls3 gbody on youtube. in my 750 barry grant i am running 81 jets with a powervalve and i believe 90 in the rear . on 10.88pass a/f was right at 13.5. i think if i put a lilmore into it and got it to around 12.5 it would have went better
