One thing I was looking at was the intake duct and how you have it snake over and down the front.... Any trouble with the clearance, rubbing etc? Just from the pics it looks like it resting right on top..

I saw the Mallett LS2 Solstice's at a car show 2 years ago...met him too. Crazy fast little cars. If traction is possible then these things would be perfect sleeper track cars.

I dont mean to take anything away from the OP's build, but for the guys who might interested in something like this, HOT ROD mag and GMPP built one like 2 years ago....
