Weight differences in 5.3 Truck engines versus old school chevy?
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows what the weight difference (if any) between a stock 2004 Silverado 5.3 engine and a stock 1976 Camaro 350 engine?
Thanks!
Thanks!

According to my research between 20 and 45 lbs depending on who quotes the numbers. The aluminum engines are supposed to be around 100 lbs lighter than the GEN I / II, again depending on who quotes the numbers.
I don't know if that is fully dressed with all accessories, iron or aluminum heads, bare engine, full of oil and water and ready to run or with complete electronics, etc.. Too bad my bathroom scale isn't large enough to hold one so I really can't verify.
I have also seen shipping weights quoted all over the place but that isn't very useful either.
