It may be slow but i think i know a certain black TA with a 6.0 that it shouldnt have a problem walking all over hahah. =P

Well this weekend should be a good weekend for the truck, Picking up the tranny and convertor tomorrow morning, Hoping to do some work on getting the motor and tranny in the truck by sunday. Only things i really need to look into and figure out are the cut in the crossmember which shouldnt be too hard and making a tranny mount on the stock cross member. I'll get plenty of updated pics over the next few days....

Also a quick update,

No pictures yet but i picked up an LS1 intake, TB, Fuel Rails, and Injectors from TSpence45 all for $90...

Also picked me up a brand new JAZ 12 gallon fuel cell with foam and a Cam =] specs are close to the 224/224 cam, all for $250...

I've been lucky and finding lots of good deals which is helping me do more than what i was planning on the truck. Major things left are the wiring harness, computer, finish the fuel system (line and 255 pump) and radiator and fans.... Other than that just need to finish the interior (cage, dash, steering wheel, shifter, door panels, wiring), get me a good nitrious system, and figure out what i'm going to do for a rear end. Got a little less than two months til the track opens so i need to get rolling lol...

Nice truck! I love the low budget stuff. I have seen some 7.5 rears live with some good parts in nasty fast trucks/blazers but I would love to see a low budget 8.8 under there. Check on using an Explorer 8.8 rear. They are everywhere in the scrap yards and come factory with 31 spline axles, track lock, big axle tubes, 3.23-3.73 gears, and some with disc brakes. My local Pull-A-Part sells them for like $150. Not bad at all! I would put one in almost anything.

That is the plan, to try and find an exploret 8.8, if i could find one for 150 i would be all over it...

Might as well join the local crew! lol

Joe, my notch is 9" wide and back to the point it slants up, it is offset not centered, 3-1/2" to the driverside and 5-1/2" to the pass. side.

Suspension for this season will be the good ol leave springs with a set of traction bars more than likely, I'd like slide-a-links but i dont think ill be able to afford those by the time the season starts, up front it will be stock 4cyl springs with hopefully a drag shock as the previous owner musta thought it was cool to run around with no shocks up front at all? So i gotta put some sort of shock up there and will prolly be a CE drag shock...

Hey just a heads up on the valve springs, You may want to call Comp with the batch number on those springs. There were numerous cases of the blue stripe 918's breaking. That have since re-designed them and may replace yours if they are from a defective batch. Just a heads up... Nice project btw, Im currently building a 2002 2dr 2wd Blazer with a LS3. Will be my second LS S-series and man are they fun when done... Good luck and lookin forward to more of your progress...
