Default ELEC. fans + LQ9 Truck motor = Impossible?

I've got an LQ9 truck motor that I'm installing in my '69 LeMans, and it has an old-school clutch-driven fan that I need to replace with electrics. Has anyone done this and used an original GM PCM to run electric fans?

Is this even possible? I have a wiring diagram and of course it doesn't show provisions for fans. I would really like to use the PCM instead of switches to make adjustment easy for on/off...I'm not sure if it would even be possible with the ECM re-program that I need anyway...

Any thoughts?

I've got an 02 LQ9, I asked my programmer to add that provision. The computer already had it, and he just programmed in the setpoints and added a relay ground wire.
Btw, I'm using both mechanical and the electric.

It can be programmed in the PCM, I just had my 2004 Silverado 5.3 PCM done that way. Add the wires and pins to the PCM connector, hook up a couple of relays and your set.
