67 Nova

Has anyone installed a LS/ T56 or TKO 600 in a 67 Nova. Using a Heidt front end kit? Large hole in the tunnel. Any where close to working with a SS console?

No the t-56 mounts farther back from the factory console. I don't know if anyone has moved their console back to match the opening.

Isn't there an adapter plate that moves the shifting point forward on the T56?

You will need to modify the tunnel. See photo.

I have the transmission mounted to the stock crossmember and am using the rearmost shifter location on the TKO. Car will not have a console. I believe that you could use the TKO and an offset shift lever with the stock console and a little work.
